I recently had the pleasure of photographing a truly wonderful couple’s proposal in Kyoto. This proposal photoshoot took place in a quiet mountain area surrounded by rich nature, a location where very few people visit. Because we started early in the morning, the soft sunrise reflected beautifully on the river, creating a breathtaking background for their special moment.

The natural light was absolutely stunning, gently illuminating the couple as he proposed. Her joyful and emotional reaction made the moment even more unforgettable. Watching their expressions felt like witnessing a proposal scene from a movie.

Since the photoshoot was in the mountains, it was much colder than in other locations. However, the couple never showed any discomfort at all. Instead, they shared the most genuine and beautiful expressions throughout the session, which made the photos even more special.

It was also the perfect season to capture autumn leaves, and we were able to include them in the photos. The couple was very happy about this, and seeing their excitement made me incredibly happy as well. During our one hour photoshoot, we did not need to move far, yet we were able to capture a wide variety of photos. Thanks to the couple sharing their own ideas, we created many wonderful images together.
