I recently had the pleasure of photographing a lovely couple at Osaka Castle Park, one of the most iconic and photogenic locations in Osaka. They had been following my work on social media and came to the shoot with a clear vision of what they wanted, which made planning even more fun. We combined their ideas with my own location suggestions to create a custom photo route through the park.
Osaka Castle Park has so many great photo spots, and this time I discovered a quieter area with lots of trees that I hadn’t used before. It turned out to be perfect for peaceful, romantic shots—and I was really excited to find a new favorite place to shoot!
Since it was late May, the azaleas were in bloom, adding a beautiful pop of color to the background. The couple loved the variety in their photos, and seeing their happy reactions made me so glad they chose to book with me.
Thank you again for trusting me to capture your special time in Japan. I truly hope to see you both again on your next trip!

I had the joy of capturing a beautiful surprise proposal at Osaka Castle Park. The couple was visiting with their family, and the proposal took place at one of the most scenic spots in the park. They were such a sweet and adorable couple, and after the big moment, we took fun group photos with their family—everyone was full of love and happiness, making it a truly special atmosphere to photograph.
A few days later, we met again for a pre-wedding photo session in the lively streets of Namba. It was a completely different vibe from the nature-filled castle park. Surrounded by vibrant signs and cityscapes that really represent Osaka, we got creative together—combining their ideas and mine to capture some really fun and unique shots. We even explored a few backstreets I hadn’t used before, which made the shoot feel like an adventure for me too.
After spending two sessions together, it honestly felt like we had become friends, which made the whole experience even more meaningful. Congratulations again to this lovely couple—I’m so happy I could be part of your story. I hope you come back to Japan again someday!
I recently had an unforgettable night photoshoot in the lively streets of Namba, Osaka, with one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met. From the moment we met, they were warm, friendly, and full of positive energy. Their smiles made the entire shoot so enjoyable, and it was such a pleasure to capture their connection against the glowing city backdrop.
We started shooting around the bright neon lights of Namba. They loved every photo I took — and when I showed them one of the flash and long exposure shots, their reaction was priceless! They were genuinely amazed, and their excitement gave me even more inspiration. I ended up trying different angles, creative lighting setups, and unique poses I don’t usually do.
They followed every direction perfectly and made each scene come alive. Because of their joyful energy and openness, the entire shoot went smoothly and the photos turned out beautifully. I especially loved capturing their natural smiles — they were so radiant that I couldn’t help smiling behind the camera too.
To this wonderful couple — thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer. I truly had a fantastic time and I hope to see you again next time you visit Japan! 😊

I recently had the pleasure of photographing an incredibly sweet and charming couple at Osaka Castle Park. They wore beautiful kimonos in perfectly coordinated colors, which made their overall look feel elegant and harmonious. The traditional clothing paired with the historic backdrop of Osaka Castle created a picture-perfect atmosphere.
We were lucky with the weather that day — although I had been concerned about the summer heat, it turned out to be quite pleasant. Thanks to that, we were able to walk around the park and take photos in several different spots without rushing.
As we moved from location to location, we naturally started talking more, and before I knew it, we were laughing together like friends. Of course, I focused on capturing beautiful images, but more than anything, I enjoyed the time we spent together. They were so kind, relaxed, and always smiling. Every time I suggested a pose, they followed my directions with such grace that photographing them was a true joy.
When I sent them the final photos, they told me how much they loved them. It made me so happy to know they were pleased, and I’m genuinely thankful to have been part of their memories in Japan.
To this lovely couple — thank you again. I hope you’ll visit Japan again someday. And when you do, let’s go grab a meal together!
I had the joy of photographing a truly unforgettable surprise proposal at Osaka Castle Park — and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
The groom-to-be told his girlfriend that they were just doing a regular couple’s photoshoot during their trip to Japan. So, we started as if it were just a normal session. From the very beginning, they looked like they had stepped out of a fashion magazine — stylish, elegant, and effortlessly photogenic. They were turning heads as we walked, with people stopping to compliment them, saying things like “You two look amazing!”
As we walked through the park, we arrived at a beautiful area filled with blooming hydrangeas, a summer highlight in Japan. After a few casual shots, we moved into position for the big moment. Right on cue, he got down on one knee. Her reaction was incredible — completely surprised, full of joy, and clearly overwhelmed with happiness.
He had looked nervous before, but after the proposal, he was visibly relieved. From that point on, their energy shifted into something even more relaxed and warm. They couldn’t stop smiling, and I felt so lucky to be there capturing it all.
We had such fun during the shoot, especially when we started chatting about anime — something we were all passionate about! It truly felt like talking with friends. Before we knew it, the one-hour session had flown by.
Thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer for such a meaningful moment. It was an honor and a joy to capture your story. Congratulations again — I wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a lovely family in the vibrant Namba area of Osaka. During summer, sunset comes late, so our evening photoshoot started around 7:30 PM. Even after a full day of sightseeing, their young daughter did her best to smile throughout the session. I kept the conversation light and fun to help her stay engaged, and I truly believe she had a great time.
The parents were incredibly warm and friendly, treating me as if I were part of their family. We explored different locations around Namba for the shoot, and each time I showed them a photo on my camera, their delighted reactions made me so happy. Their joy was contagious and reminded me how meaningful my work is.
I’m truly grateful they chose me from among so many photographers in Japan. That night’s photoshoot was a beautiful experience for me as well, and I’ll always remember it. I hope to see them again someday when they visit Japan again!

I had the honor of photographing a beautiful surprise proposal at Osaka Castle Park in mid-May. The weather forecast called for high temperatures and strong sun, so we planned an early morning meet-up to avoid both the heat and the crowds. Thanks to that, we were greeted with a pleasantly cool breeze and had a peaceful, refreshing atmosphere for the shoot.
The surprise proposal went perfectly according to plan. His proposal was thoughtful and heartfelt, and it created such a beautiful and emotional moment. She had no idea what was coming—her shocked expression quickly turned into tears of joy, followed by the brightest smiles. It was such a genuine and touching reaction, and I felt so grateful to be there to capture it.
After the proposal, we explored other scenic spots within the park. They were so happy with the photos and embraced all of my ideas, which allowed us to make the most of our time together. I’m truly thankful they chose me to document such a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Congratulations again to both of you—and I hope you’ll visit Japan again someday!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a truly lovely couple for their engagement photos in Osaka. We started our session at a botanical garden, where we were greeted by an incredible display of blooming roses. The timing couldn’t have been better—the roses were in full bloom, creating a breathtaking backdrop for their love story. The couple was surprised and delighted by how many flowers there were, and I was happy to suggest fun photo ideas so we could all enjoy the shoot together.
Although the weather was sunny and quite hot, we took breaks in the shade and enjoyed chatting throughout the session. Their positive energy was contagious, and they weren’t shy in front of the camera at all—they kept showing the most genuine and beautiful smiles, which made capturing natural moments so easy.
Later, we moved to a nearby shrine to capture photos in a more traditional Japanese setting. The couple showed great interest in Japanese culture, and I enjoyed sharing insights about the area with them while we explored and took more photos.
At the end of the session, they told me how much they loved the photos, and I was truly happy and honored to have been their photographer. Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your special moments in Japan. I hope you come back to visit again someday!

Early in the morning, I had the honor of photographing a surprise proposal at Osaka Castle Park — one of the most iconic and romantic locations in Osaka. The groom-to-be and I carefully planned every detail to ensure the surprise would go perfectly, and I’m happy to say that everything went exactly as we hoped.
She had absolutely no idea, and her reaction was priceless — full of surprise, joy, and happy tears. Just watching them together, you could instantly feel how much love and happiness they shared. It was one of those moments that reminds me why I love this job so much.
Even during the shoot, they were incredibly supportive. They complimented my photos as I showed them a few previews, and they trusted all of my ideas, which helped us create many beautiful images. It had been raining earlier that morning, so I used the puddles to capture some creative reflection shots — and they turned out amazing!
To the wonderful couple: thank you so much for choosing me to capture this special moment in your life. I truly feel lucky to have been a part of it. I hope you’ll come visit Japan again — and next time, let’s grab a meal together!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family of five at Osaka Castle Park – three energetic boys and their lovely parents. From the very beginning, their bright smiles and cheerful energy filled the entire session. We spent an hour laughing, playing, and capturing the most heartwarming moments.
The boys were full of life and so cooperative – ready to run, pose, and have fun whenever I gave them direction. They truly made my job easy, and I couldn’t have asked for better little models! What made the session even more special was that the whole family wore matching outfits, which brought a beautiful sense of unity and style to the photos. Their parents clearly put a lot of thought into the coordination – they were the perfect planners!
We captured a variety of shots: the full family together, each child individually, and even some fun couple photos of just Mom and Dad. It was a relaxed, joyful hour that all six of us truly enjoyed.
One of the best compliments I received was when they told me they had really wanted me to take their photos. That meant so much to me. I hope to see them again in Japan someday – I would love to photograph their beautiful family once more.

This post is long overdue, but I had the joy of capturing a surprise proposal during the peak of cherry blossom season. The couple was absolutely lovely, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect — the sakura were in full bloom!
Since this time of year is incredibly crowded, finding the right location was a real challenge. But in the end, everything came together beautifully. I pretended to be a tourist and approached the couple casually before photographing the surprise moment. Despite all the locals having picnics and enjoying hanami around us, everyone cheered for them, creating such a heartwarming atmosphere.
She was brought to tears — completely surprised and overjoyed — and it was such an emotional and beautiful moment to witness. After the proposal, we continued the shoot together, and it was so much fun! They really enjoyed the experience, which made me even happier.
Thank you so much for choosing me to capture such an important moment in your life. I’m truly honored. I hope you visit Japan again soon — congratulations once again!

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a group of four incredibly fun and friendly friends in the lively Namba area of Osaka. From the moment we met, I could feel their bright and cheerful energy—they were one of the most outgoing and entertaining groups I’ve ever worked with.
They treated me like a friend from the start, and throughout the entire shoot, we were constantly laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Their positive energy and fun conversations made the whole experience unforgettable.
While I provided direction and posing suggestions, they also brought plenty of their own creative ideas, which made the session feel like a true collaboration. It felt like we were creating something special together, not just taking pictures.
Due to unexpected construction, we couldn’t shoot at one of our planned spots. When I apologized, one of them said, “Don’t need to say Sorry! Be strong!” That one comment really stuck with me and gave me a boost of confidence that I’ll carry with me moving forward.
Thank you again for such a joyful time. It was truly an amazing photoshoot that I’ll never forget. I hope to see you all again in Japan someday!

One of the most heartwarming moments in my photography journey happened recently — a couple I photographed six years ago for their surprise proposal in Japan came back… and this time, they brought their daughter!
Back then, I had the honor of capturing the beautiful moment when he got down on one knee, and now, six years later, they returned to Japan and booked another photoshoot with me — this time as a family. I was genuinely thrilled even before meeting them again.
When I arrived at the meeting spot, they were already there waiting for me. They looked just the same as I remembered — warm, kind, and full of smiles. Seeing them again truly made my day.
Their daughter, a cheerful little girl, immediately opened up to me. We became fast friends and had so much fun during the shoot. We spent our time talking about the proposal shoot years ago, catching up on life now, and playing together as we captured their new chapter as a family.
The session flew by, filled with laughter, stories, and joyful memories. It means so much to me when couples come back for another shoot — but to have them bring their child, and to watch their family grow, is truly the greatest honor.
We started with couple photos in Kyoto six years ago, and now we’ve created new memories with a family photoshoot in the same beautiful city. And as if that wasn’t special enough — they’re expecting their second child soon! I’m already looking forward to the day I get to meet their newest family member.
To this wonderful family — thank you so much for letting me be part of your story again. It truly meant the world to me.

I had the privilege of photographing a wonderful couple in Osaka and Kyoto. The fact that they chose me from so many photographers, especially with the bride being a professional photographer herself, truly made me feel honored.
We carefully planned our locations together and worked as a team on the day of the shoot. The collaboration resulted in some beautiful photos, particularly during the nighttime session, where we experimented with slow shutter speeds and neon backgrounds.
In Kyoto, we captured stunning images under the cherry blossoms with them dressed in traditional kimonos, making for the perfect shoot. Despite spending hours shooting, it was an incredibly fulfilling experience, and we had a lot of fun.
Saying goodbye after such a great time together felt bittersweet, but I look forward to meeting them again, either in Vancouver or Japan. Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your special moments!
