I recently had the chance to photograph a very special proposal in a large park just outside the center of Osaka. This park is famous for its iconic windmills, and my client wanted to propose in front of one of them. To prepare, I arrived a little earlier to check the location. Although it was late June, it already felt like the middle of summer—the sun was strong, and I was a bit worried about the heat.

Thankfully, the couple arrived right on time, and everything went exactly as we had planned. With the help of their friends, who acted perfectly for the surprise, the proposal went so smoothly. She was completely surprised, and it was such a touching moment to capture.

Afterwards, we walked through the park to take more photos with hydrangeas, which was their second request. This year’s hot weather had caused many of the flowers to wither, but we found a few beautiful spots where they were still blooming. We managed to capture some wonderful hydrangea photos, and the couple was so happy that their wishes had all come true.

To celebrate her 15th birthday, we enjoyed a special three-day photoshoot across some of Osaka’s most iconic locations — Universal Studios Japan, the Namba night area, and Osaka Castle Park. Every single day was filled with creativity, laughter, and wonderful photo ideas that made the experience unforgettable.

At Universal Studios Japan, we explored the enchanting Harry Potter area, posed in front of colorful character-themed buildings, and captured dreamy shots with the carousel glowing in the background. The birthday girl was incredibly cheerful, with a beautiful smile, and gave such positive feedback on my photos that it inspired me to be even more creative throughout the shoot.

For the night photoshoot in Namba, her mother joined us, checking her hair and helping with small details to ensure every shot looked perfect. I was especially touched when I saw her mother gently placing a tiara on her head — it was such a heartfelt and memorable moment.

Our final day was at Osaka Castle Park, where we captured both fun and elegant shots. Her younger brother also joined and quickly became friends with me, making the session feel warm and relaxed. The whole family was so kind, friendly, and full of positive energy. I truly enjoyed working with them and felt honored to capture such important memories.

The groom-to-be told his girlfriend that they were just doing a regular couple’s photoshoot during their trip to Japan. So, we started as if it were just a normal session. From the very beginning, they looked like they had stepped out of a fashion magazine — stylish, elegant, and effortlessly photogenic. They were turning heads as we walked, with people stopping to compliment them, saying things like “You two look amazing!”

As we walked through the park, we arrived at a beautiful area filled with blooming hydrangeas, a summer highlight in Japan. After a few casual shots, we moved into position for the big moment. Right on cue, he got down on one knee. Her reaction was incredible — completely surprised, full of joy, and clearly overwhelmed with happiness.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a lovely family in the vibrant Namba area of Osaka. During summer, sunset comes late, so our evening photoshoot started around 7:30 PM. Even after a full day of sightseeing, their young daughter did her best to smile throughout the session. I kept the conversation light and fun to help her stay engaged, and I truly believe she had a great time.

The parents were incredibly warm and friendly, treating me as if I were part of their family. We explored different locations around Namba for the shoot, and each time I showed them a photo on my camera, their delighted reactions made me so happy.
