This time, I had the chance to capture a completely different style of proposal photoshoot in Kyoto. My clients dreamed of proposing on a boat, so we planned everything carefully and rented a boat on the river in Arashiyama. To capture the exact moment of the proposal, the angle between the boat and my camera had to be perfect. We had discussed the plan beforehand, and thanks to his great navigation, they arrived at the ideal position.
Because of that, I was able to capture the moment he proposed beautifully, as well as the joyful time they shared afterward while enjoying the boat ride. For this session, I used a brand-new telephoto lens I had been excited to try, and it worked amazingly well. They were so happy with the photos, which made me even happier.
After the proposal, we met again on land and continued the photoshoot in an area surrounded by stunning autumn colors. Later, their friends joined to celebrate the successful proposal, filling the moment with even more love and excitement.
It was truly a heartwarming experience and I felt so lucky to photograph a couple who is so loved by the people around them. Congratulations again to the both of you. I hope you come back to Japan someday!
