A few days ago, I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful surprise proposal photoshoot in Kyoto at the famous Kiyomizu-dera.

We planned the proposal early in the morning to avoid the large daytime crowds. Even at that early hour, Kiyomizu-dera was already quite busy, filled with both Japanese and international tourists. However, it was still much less crowded than later in the day, which allowed us to carry out the proposal smoothly at the location we had planned.

The weather that morning was clear and beautiful, although it was quite cold. The couple arrived exactly on time, and everything went perfectly according to our plan. She had absolutely no idea that he was about to propose, so when the moment happened, she was completely surprised.

Many tourists nearby quickly realized what was happening. When she said yes, people around us started clapping and celebrating with the couple. It was truly a wonderful and emotional moment, and I felt very happy to be able to capture such a special memory as a proposal photographer in Kyoto.

After the proposal, we continued the photoshoot around several iconic Kyoto locations. We walked through the historic streets of Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, and also took photos near the beautiful Yasaka Pagoda. These traditional streets and the pagoda created the perfect Kyoto atmosphere for their engagement photos.

The couple had such wonderful smiles and a very bright and cheerful energy throughout the photoshoot. They were also excited whenever I showed them some of the photos during the session, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

It truly became an amazing one-hour photoshoot in Kyoto. Thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer to capture such an important moment in your life.
