I had an amazing photoshoot capturing a surprise proposal in the enchanting Gion district of Kyoto! The couple I worked with was exceptionally friendly and warm, and their easygoing nature helped create a relaxed atmosphere throughout the shoot. We initially met at a kimono rental shop where they dressed in yukata, the perfect choice for a summer-style kimono, and they looked absolutely stunning.
The gentleman and I had devised a plan for the proposal, choosing a picturesque, narrow traditional path in the heart of the Gion area as the ultimate setting. Before the proposal moment, I guided them through various captivating photo spots starting from the kimono shop, and I was delighted to see their genuine interest in everything I shared and explained to them.
The proposal itself was nothing short of incredible, and her joyful “YES!” was met with elation. Their beaming smiles were infectious, and I couldn’t resist capturing every precious moment. It was truly a wonderful experience, and I’m immensely grateful to them for choosing me to be part of this special occasion.
