I photographed a surprise proposal in the Uji area of Kyoto, one of the most peaceful and scenic locations near the city. After discussing many options together, we chose Uji because it has fewer crowds, beautiful nature, and many great photo spots, making it ideal for a romantic proposal photoshoot in Japan.

As planned, I waited by the riverside. When they arrived, I casually approached them and asked them to take a photo for me, pretending to be a tourist. After that, I offered to take their photo in return, and during that moment he proposed. Everything went smoothly and naturally, creating genuine emotions that make proposal photos truly special.

They had wonderful smiles and were cheerful throughout the entire session. They liked every location I suggested and followed all of my posing ideas perfectly. Most importantly, I could feel they were truly enjoying the photoshoot itself, which made me very happy as a photographer.
