I recently had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family at Nara Park, one of the most iconic locations in Japan. The family of four — two adorable young boys and their lovely parents — were incredibly friendly from the very beginning. The boys instantly smiled at me, which made the whole session feel warm and welcoming.
As we walked through Nara Park, surrounded by the famous deer waiting to be fed, the boys had the chance to experience deer feeding for the very first time. At first, they were a little scared, but before long, they started to enjoy it and had so much fun. I was lucky to capture those sweet, heartwarming moments — the kind of smiles only children can give when they’re genuinely happy.
Since it was a 90-minute family photo session, I was a bit concerned that the kids might get tired. But their parents were amazing — they kept the boys happy and engaged the entire time. Thanks to them, we had continuous laughter and natural smiles from start to finish.
The entire session was filled with love, laughter, and joy. Every photo turned out to be so full of happiness. I truly enjoyed being their family photographer in Nara, and I feel so lucky to have captured these unforgettable moments for them.
If you’re planning a family trip to Japan and want to create lasting memories, a photoshoot in Nara Park with its peaceful nature and friendly deer might be the perfect experience for you. I hope to welcome this sweet family back to Japan again someday!
