One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is building long-lasting relationships with clients who return again and again. Recently, I had the pleasure of welcoming back a lovely family who has booked several photoshoots with me in the past. This time, they returned to Japan and asked me to capture their memories in Tokyo—and I couldn’t have been more excited to see them again.
We met in Asakusa and started the shoot at the iconic Sensoji Temple. Even though it had been a while since we last met, it felt like no time had passed—they were exactly the same warm and cheerful people I remembered. I was genuinely happy to reunite with them.
For this shoot, they were wearing adorable yukata with Sanrio characters—My Melody and Kuromi. I had never seen yukata like those before, and they looked absolutely amazing in them! The colorful and unique outfits added such a fun and playful touch to the photos, making the shoot extra special.
After Asakusa, we made our way to Tokyo Tower for the second part of the session. It was a warm day, so we took care to stay in the shade when possible, but even with the heat, we had a wonderful time chatting and laughing as we continued the shoot. Time flew by because we were having so much fun together.
Later that evening, we met again in Shibuya for a night session. We took some dynamic photos at the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing using a slow shutter to create an artistic, motion-filled effect. After that, we visited Shibuya Sky, where we captured breathtaking night views of the Tokyo skyline. The contrast between the vibrant city lights and the calm, joyful expressions on their faces made for unforgettable photos.
It was such a meaningful and joyful day that I was truly sad to say goodbye. But I believe we’ll meet again soon.
Thank you so much for always choosing me to photograph your memories whenever you visit Japan. Your thoughtful gifts were also so delicious and appreciated. I hope you come back to Japan again soon—I’ll be waiting!
