Surprise Proposal Photoshoot in Shinjuku Gyoen Tokyo | Romantic Engagement Photography in Japan!!

I recently photographed a very sweet couple’s surprise proposal at Shinjuku Gyoen in Tokyo, one of the most popular garden locations for proposal and engagement photography in Japan.

The original date showed rain in the forecast, so we quickly moved the schedule earlier. They kindly stayed flexible, and thanks to that we were able to shoot on a beautiful sunny day. Although Shinjuku Gyoen is usually crowded, the moment they reached the proposal spot the people around us disappeared almost magically, allowing a smooth and private proposal.

She was completely surprised and overjoyed because she never expected the proposal. Reactions like this always create genuine and emotional photos.

After the proposal, we continued taking photos around the garden. Some areas had early blooming cherry blossoms, while other spots still had snow on the ground. It felt as if winter and spring existed together, creating a unique seasonal atmosphere that made the photos especially memorable.

We captured many joyful moments as well as elegant portraits with beautiful backgrounds. Everything about the session was wonderful, and of course the proposal itself was truly romantic.

Congratulations again, and thank you very much for choosing me as your proposal photographer. I hope you will visit Japan again in the future.
