This spring, I met a wonderful couple and we became close friends. We first met in Tokyo and had a one-hour photo shoot in Shibuya. Despite being strangers at first, we never ran out of things to talk about during the shoot. We bonded over our mutual love for Pokémon and Nintendo games, as well as discussing Japan and America.
We spent two days together in Osaka and Kyoto, totaling four days. In Osaka, we split the photo shoot into daytime and nighttime sessions. Before the night shoot, we went out for sushi together. They particularly loved takowasabi, a dish commonly enjoyed with alcohol in Japan, so we asked the sushi chef to prepare it for us. They enjoyed other dishes as well, and we had a great time savoring local sushi together.
The two days in Kyoto were also incredibly enjoyable. We explored various places, took photos, and indulged in local souvenirs and matcha soft serve ice cream. While the photo shoots were fulfilling, the memories we made together were truly priceless. I’m so grateful they came to Japan. As I write this, I already miss them and look forward to seeing them again in the US or Japan!
I had a wonderful photoshoot with an adorable couple. We did the shoot at Fushimi Inari Shrine, and both of them were so cheerful and energetic that we kept chatting throughout the session. They were also very creative, contributing ideas for poses, which made the shoot even more enjoyable. Despite the crowds of tourists, we managed to capture plenty of great photos during quieter moments, much to the delight of the clients. It was truly a fun time!
I captured a surprise proposal in Kyoto! As usual, I pretended to be a tourist and waited at the perfect spot to catch the proposal moment. They were such a cute couple, and I was thrilled to capture their happy moment. Check out the video to see how it all happened!
I did a family photoshoot in Arashiyama, Kyoto! The entire family was very cheerful and friendly, and their daughter looked absolutely adorable in her kimono. She seemed a bit nervous at first, but as the shoot progressed, she became more relaxed. Since it was cherry blossom season, Arashiyama was crowded. However, we were lucky to find the usually busy Kimono Forest almost empty, which allowed us to shoot smoothly. We also got various shots in the bamboo grove. Both the father and mother were incredibly kind, and we kept chatting throughout the shoot, making it feel like hanging out with friends. I had such a great time! Please visit Japan again! Thank you so much!
I’d like to share about a surprise proposal photoshoot I did in Tokyo in March. It was pouring rain that day, and I debated whether to cancel the shoot. However, it was the only day that worked for both my client and me, so we decided to go ahead despite the rain. Shinjuku Gyoen Park had some early cherry blossoms, so I had scouted the best spots beforehand and waited for them. However, the rain was heavier than expected, so we took shelter at a nearby Starbucks. I had hoped for just a light drizzle during the proposal moment, but when they arrived, it was still pouring. Nevertheless, his proposal was lovely, and she was incredibly moved, shedding tears in the rain. Despite his pants getting muddy from the wet ground, it was a romantic moment. We moved indoors afterward, and I was glad to capture various photos that made them happy. It truly became one of the unforgettable shoots for me too. Congratulations!
This is the video capturing the moment of the best proposal where everyone was in tears! After the tears, it turned into a lovely proposal photoshoot with everyone smiling💍🌸
Towards the end of cherry blossom season, I had the pleasure of meeting two wonderful families in Kyoto. They were incredibly friendly, and we had a delightful 3-hour photoshoot.
We initially met at a kimono rental shop near Fushimi Inari Shrine. They looked stunning in their kimonos, and I was confident we’d capture some amazing photos. Despite the crowds at Fushimi Inari, we managed to find good timing to capture many photos without people in the background. The families showed excellent teamwork, taking turns carrying belongings and holding each other’s children.
Afterward, we moved to Gion, where we had a glimpse of cherry blossoms in Maruyama Park. Throughout the walk, we had various conversations, and I felt like I was part of the group, which made the time truly enjoyable. They also brought lots of souvenirs, and my favorite, banana chips, were delicious! Thank you so much for such a fun time! See you again!
I had a surprise proposal photoshoot in Osaka Castle Park during the fully blooming cherry blossom season. My client informed his partner about a photoshoot without mentioning the proposal. So, I met them as a regular photographer and initially captured some photos amidst the cherry blossoms. Osaka Castle Park is one of the most popular spots in Osaka for cherry blossom viewing, attracting both locals and tourists. I waited for the best timing when it was less crowded.
I positioned them on a narrow path adorned with cherry blossoms and signaled to him. He then proposed, and she was incredibly surprised and burst into laughter. The proposal was incredibly sweet and beautiful, and I couldn’t stop capturing the precious moments. Afterward, we explored the castle area and then moved to the Namba city area. Throughout the shoot, they wore smiles that made me equally joyful. Thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer!:)
We did a proposal photoshoot against a backdrop of fully bloomed cherry blossoms. It was a surprise, so acting it out was quite challenging, and he seemed very nervous too, but it turned out to be a great shoot. After the proposal, we talked and took photos among the beautiful flowers, and both of them really liked the photos I took, which made me happy! I made a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot! Check it out! Thank you for such a wonderful time!
I recently had a photoshoot with a lovely couple during cherry blossom season in Fushimi Inari Shrine and the Gion area of Kyoto! We first met at Fushimi Inari Shrine and began taking photos. However, it appeared that their kimono rental reservation hadn’t been properly arranged, as they were kept waiting for a long time at the rental shop and seemed tired. Despite this, I was determined to ensure they enjoyed the photoshoot, so I started shooting and focused on creating a fun atmosphere to help them forget about the kimono mishap. They walked gracefully in Japanese sandals, and we quickly captured shots at various locations in the shrine before moving to the Gion area. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, creating a stunning backdrop for our photoshoot. Their positive energy was contagious, and it made the entire experience enjoyable for me. Afterward, they kindly offered me some business advice, which I appreciated. I’m grateful for the opportunity to capture memories for them. Thank you so much for booking with me!
I had the pleasure of meeting a delightful couple and capturing their photos amidst the fully blooming cherry blossoms at Osaka Castle Park. We began our session early in the morning to avoid the crowds, and fortunately, the park was relatively empty except for a few others snapping photos of the cherry blossoms. This allowed us the freedom to take photos in any location surrounded by the beautiful blooms.
The couple looked stunning in their attire, resembling a model couple in their beautiful dress and elegant suits. The resulting photos turned out exceptionally beautiful, and they were pleased with every shot I captured. As we continued, I guided them to various spots around the castle area, capturing their natural moments against the backdrop of the majestic castle.
I thoroughly enjoyed our time together, and it was a pleasure to capture their moments amidst the cherry blossoms. Thank you both, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you again in the future!
I had a photoshoot in Osaka Castle Park amidst fully blooming cherry blossoms with a lovely couple. We planned it for early on a weekday morning to avoid crowds. As I waited for them, I scouted some great angles for photos with the cherry blossoms. Despite some local people and tourists already taking photos, I managed to capture many shots of them at our meeting point. Then, we explored other spots where I had them pose sitting on a bench and standing back to back. They were natural in front of the camera, resulting in many great shots. Afterward, we moved to the castle area where I captured candid moments of them walking and talking. The photos with the castle backdrop turned out beautifully, making it a wonderful photoshoot. Thank you for choosing my services! Looking forward to our next session!
I had a surprise proposal photoshoot during cherry blossom season in Kyoto! He wanted the backdrop of fully blooming cherry blossoms, so I searched for a less crowded and ideal spot for his proposal. Cherry blossoms bloom suddenly depending on temperature, so I changed the location to a fully blooming spot at the last minute. We met at Fushimi Inari Shrine, took photos there, and then moved to a local spot with fully bloomed cherry blossoms and almost nobody around. It was the perfect moment for his proposal. His proposal was very beautiful, and she was very surprised and cried tears of joy. Not only her, but everyone present was moved to tears, and I was almost brought to tears as well. I was very happy to capture such a special moment. Thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer. Congratulations again!
