Surprise Proposal Photoshoot in Kyoto Gion | Romantic Engagement Photography in Japan!!

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

At the beginning of 2026, I photographed a beautiful surprise proposal in the historic Gion area of Kyoto. With its traditional streets and cinematic atmosphere, Gion is a perfect location for a romantic proposal photoshoot in Japan.

I waited a short distance away from the proposal spot and captured the moment using a telephoto lens, just like a paparazzi photographer. He naturally guided her to the planned location and proposed smoothly and perfectly. The scene felt like a movie, and she was truly happy.

She had no idea a photographer was there, and when she finally noticed me, she was completely surprised. Reactions like this always create genuine and unforgettable proposal photos.

They were such a bright and cheerful couple, so while walking through Gion I shared many photo ideas and photographed them in several beautiful spots. Even though it was a very cold day, they enjoyed the experience and the one hour session passed quickly.

Thank you very much for choosing me as your photographer. Congratulations again.

Cherry blossom season is also coming soon, and I am already accepting reservations for spring proposal and engagement photoshoots in Kyoto and Osaka.

Surprise Proposal Photoshoot at Osaka Castle Park and Namba: A Romantic Love Story in Osaka!!

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

I had the pleasure of photographing a lovely couple’s surprise proposal at Osaka Castle Park, followed by a night photoshoot in the vibrant streets of Namba and Dotonbori in Osaka.

Thanks to careful planning, the surprise proposal photoshoot went very smoothly. She had no idea what was coming, and when he proposed, her happiness filled the air. Her beautiful smile told the whole story. During the shoot, she kept looking at her ring with a big smile, and watching her joy made me feel happy as well.

It was the perfect season, with the ginkgo trees turning bright yellow around the park. The scenery was stunning, and we captured their proposal in a truly beautiful setting. They loved the photos, and I was very glad to see how happy they were with the results.

Later, we met again in the evening for a second shoot in the Namba area. The city lights, neon signs, and lively atmosphere of Osaka created a completely different mood from the daytime session. They enjoyed every part of the shoot and were happy to try all the ideas and poses I suggested.

We talked about many things, not only photography but also travel and life in Japan, which made the experience even more meaningful for me. That connection is one of the reasons I love being a photographer.

Thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer and for trusting me with your surprise proposal in Osaka. It truly meant a lot to me to be part of such a special moment. Congratulations to you!!

【10 Years of Gratitude!!!】

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

Since 2016, I have been working as a photographer for 10 years. There are honestly so many things I want to say, but above all, what I feel most strongly is gratitude.

I am deeply thankful to every single client who has chosen me over these past 10 years. Through photography, I have been able to meet so many wonderful people, and I truly feel how lucky I am. Each encounter, each photoshoot, and each shared moment has meant more to me than I can fully express in words.

When I first started, I was still learning everything. My photography, my editing, and even my English were far from perfect. But my clients were always kind, supportive, and encouraging. Because of that, I never lost the desire to grow, improve, and do better with every shoot.

Some clients have returned many times over the years, and meeting them again after a long time always feels special. Sharing meals, conversations, and memories together has truly changed my life.

This 10-year journey is something I will always treasure. I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me and trusted me with their precious travel memories in Japan.

To celebrate this milestone, I am also sharing details about my 10th anniversary campaigns in this video. I hope to make 2026 another unforgettable year, filled with beautiful moments and meaningful connections.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for these past 10 years. I truly look forward to continuing this journey with you.

【Behind The Scene】A Rainy Day Surprise Proposal in Arashiyama: A Heartwarming Kyoto Photoshoot!!

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

One rainy morning in Kyoto, I had the honor of photographing a surprise proposal in one of the most scenic spots in the city — Arashiyama, near the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge. Despite the weather, the atmosphere felt even more romantic by the riverside where the proposal took place.

I had been in touch with the groom’s friends in the U.S. prior to the session, and they were eagerly waiting for updates. When the couple arrived at our meeting point, the plan went into motion. As he had arranged, the groom asked me to take a photo of them — and from there, I smoothly transitioned into a mini photo session that led up to the big moment.

The proposal itself was a beautiful success. She was completely surprised and moved to tears. Watching that emotional moment unfold and being able to capture it through my lens was truly touching.

After the proposal, a group of his friends joined via video chat to hear the happy news. Their joy and support were heartwarming to witness — and it was clear how loved and cherished this couple is. During our photo session, they were full of kindness and laughter. Their warmth, not only toward each other but also toward me, made the shoot even more memorable.

I’m so grateful they chose me as their engagement photographer in Kyoto. These kinds of moments are why I love what I do. I hope they’ll come back to Japan again someday — and maybe we’ll meet once more for another happy memory.

Grateful for Every Moment in 2024!!!

Family photo-shooting in the Gion area of Kyoto!!

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

We had a family photo shoot in Kyoto’s Gion area. We met at Yasaka Shrine and captured beautiful moments at Maruyama Park and Yasaka Pagoda. From the start, the family was so warm and welcoming. The kids were a bit shy at first, but after chatting about Pokémon and showing them some of the photos, they quickly opened up. Even though it was a warm day, everyone smiled through it, and we got some lovely, natural shots. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

A surprise proposal photoshoot in Osaka castle park during cherry blossom season!

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

I had a surprise proposal photoshoot in Osaka Castle Park during the fully blooming cherry blossom season. My client informed his partner about a photoshoot without mentioning the proposal. So, I met them as a regular photographer and initially captured some photos amidst the cherry blossoms. Osaka Castle Park is one of the most popular spots in Osaka for cherry blossom viewing, attracting both locals and tourists. I waited for the best timing when it was less crowded.

I positioned them on a narrow path adorned with cherry blossoms and signaled to him. He then proposed, and she was incredibly surprised and burst into laughter. The proposal was incredibly sweet and beautiful, and I couldn’t stop capturing the precious moments. Afterward, we explored the castle area and then moved to the Namba city area. Throughout the shoot, they wore smiles that made me equally joyful. Thank you so much for choosing me as your photographer!:)

Kyoto Bliss: Capturing Joy in the Heart of Japan!!

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

We shot in Kyoto! We always have a blast like this during our photoshoots. With instructions on poses and where to stand, anyone can easily become like a professional model. While beautiful and lovely photos are a given, I want the photoshoot experience itself to be a wonderful memory for our clients. That’s why we chat and shoot like friends during the session. Despite the rain during this shoot, it was just a light drizzle, so it wasn’t a problem at all and we had a great time. Thank you!

Family photoshooting in GHIBLI park!!

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

I went to the newly opened Ghibli Park! It was quite difficult to get tickets, but we managed to secure tickets for everyone, so we had a great time together. There are three areas in the Ghibli Park, and we took pictures in all of them. Everywhere was a lovely place, and it seems like it became a really good memory. There was an area that recreated the house from Totoro, a place where you could become a scene from the movie, and lots of souvenirs. The day passed in the blink of an eye because there were so many things to see. Two more areas will open within this year, so I would like to visit again. Thank you so much!

Family photo shooting tour at Fushimiinari shrine in Kyoto!!

Posted Posted in Uncategorized

The boarders will be reopened soon!!! I already have seen some tourists in the city in Osaka and Kyoto. A lot of people come to Japan from the end of this year to next year for sure:)

I had a photo shooting tour last week in Kyoto and took a ton of great photos of a nice family from Hong Kong! They were sooooo friendly and wearing Japanese kimono and looks very beautiful. Anyone can rent Japanese kimono at kimono rental stores and popular sightseeing places have kimono rental shops. The family chosen same color kimono and looks great for photoshooting!
We visited to Fushimiinari shrine first. This place is the most popular for tourists from the world and it was very crowded before the covid but it was not so much crowded last week. A lot of Torii gates are sooo beautiful and the photos I took with these gates are very Japanesey. One of my favorite place in Kyoto. Not only gates street, I took them to colorful paper craine area and took some photos with Fox mask! I love the photos so much!! I hope people who visit Fushimiinari shrine have great time and make memories with great photos:)
