I recently had the honor of photographing a beautiful surprise proposal in Kyoto during peak cherry blossom season. The couple had chosen the perfect moment — the weeping cherry trees were in full bloom, creating a magical and romantic backdrop for this unforgettable moment.

He and I planned every detail ahead of time, deciding to meet under one of the largest blooming weeping cherry trees in the area. As planned, we successfully captured the proposal in front of the breathtaking blossoms. She had no idea what was about to happen, and her reaction was absolutely priceless — a perfect mix of shock and pure joy.

Throughout the entire session, the couple couldn’t stop smiling and laughing together. It was heartwarming to witness and capture such genuine happiness on camera. I’m so grateful they chose me to photograph such an important and emotional moment in their lives.
